Arrogant Faith

We should never think too much of ourselves or have a loud and arrogant faith. As Christians, we all have the potential to get high, mighty, and uppity about our faith. We judge others, talk about others, and criticize others. But if we’re not careful we will come off as being fake, hypocritical and the perceived idea that we are better than others.

Oswald Chambers put it this way; “Am I getting nobler, kinder, better, more helpful, and more humble as I get older? Am I exhibiting the life that people take knowledge of as having been with Jesus for some period of time. Or am I getting more self-assertive, more bitter, more selfish and more deliberately determined to have my own way.” It’s a great thing to tell yourself the truth. Think about it. Who are we becoming more like? Christ or selves? It’s going to be one or the other and your actions or your inactions will tell your story and speak the truth to you. You must only be willing to listen.
